Tweeters,

An impromptu canoe trip to Everett's Jetty Island under
questionable conditions, but bouyed by an optomistic feeling
about the weather, turned out to be a worthwhile endeavor.
Sightings included Short-eared Owl, Dark morph Red-Tailed
Hawk, about 50 Caspian Terns (no Arctic Terns, however),
several Horned Grebes in alternate plumage, 4 Common Loons
(alt. pl.), several groups of Western Grebes numbering around
forty, half a dozen Common Mergansers, a pair of Red-breasted
Mergansers, about ten Osprey (of the usual 40 odd birds that
nest here), several flocks of Dunlin numbering between 500 and
1000 (large for Everett) provided day-long entertainment.
This in addition to all the usual suspects.
