Dropped by Nisqually Wildlife Reserve this evening on the way home from
work in Tacoma. Wanted to check on the Rufous Hummingbird nest -- see if
the little ones had hatched. Mom was still on the nest. She flew off for
a while, then came back and lit directly on the nest. No indication of
any feeding. So I assume the eggs have not hatched. The BHAS field trip
first saw the nest on Saturday April 10th.

Meanwhile, walking back to the car the air was full of
witchitywitchitywitch's. Didn't stop to try to spot one, and didn't have
a good set of glasses, but sounds like the Yellowthroats have arrived at
Nisqually.
