"I remember some years driving by and seeing a Canada Goose in this osprey
nest. The Geese start nesting earlier than the Osprey but I don't know
that the geese got out of there in time for the Osprey to also raise
a brood. At the time, I was under the impression that the nest had
been usurped by the geese. I wonder why the geese aren't there now."

hey, that's really interesting to know. last sunday, while
i was wandering through a surprisingly rainy yakima, i saw
a canada goose sitting in an osprey nest, too. i forgot to
mention it to all you tweets, but really, how common is this?
i also wonder how many goslings survive the long plunge to
earth after they hatch?
