Due to the large request about the LACEY CLEAR-CUT here are the direction.
On I-5 take the 111 Exit which is Marvin and Yelm. Turn right on Marvin,
you will see a Restaurant to the right call Country Junction, take a right
again which is Hogum Rd. Follow this road to it cuves to the right. You
will go on straight which is still Hogum Rd. It will say DEAD END and
OLYMPIC CHEESE Co. You will past the Cheese Factory there is a gate is
always open, you can park on either side. I park on the outside and walk
in, the road can be rough, also you can hear the birds better The road goes
to the left, right and middle, i usual go right which for me produced the
most birds. Last May there was a Clay-colored Sparrow which stayed for
quite long time, also sighted where Lazuli Bunting and Vesper Sparrow.
There also is a trail to the woods from the parking lot, where i had large
amount of MacGillivray"s Warblers.Good Birding.
