Hi folks,

I'm doing a birdathon big day /owl prowl May 15-16, 8 PM Saturday to 6 PM
Sunday, leaving Ravenna Park and Ride and heading generally easterly, hoping
to tally Barn, Screech, and maybe Great Horned and/or Barred in the west
side lowlands; then heading for Old Blewett Pass in hopes of Flamms and
maybe Saw-whets, then down to Liberty looking for Spotted and Barred, then
by dawn heading out into the basin hoping for Long-eared, Burrowing, Great
Horned, Short-eared, etc. I could loop out Frenchman Hills Rd to Dodson (saw
a Burrowing there last weekend) and back over Vernita Bridge to Moxee (Great
Horned and Long-eared were there last weekend, but hard to get a good look
at), then bird homewards over the Wenas Rd. Anyway, I would be much obliged
to learn the precise whereabouts of any Long-eared, Short-eared, Great
Horned, or Barred Owl nests along this route, or any yet more unlikely owls,
for example, Pygmy... It's all for a good cause, Seattle Audubon. Of course
if you want to pledge that would be extra nice: either per owl or per bird,
as you wish.

Thanks,

Gene Hunn.
