I had an unbelievable morning at Shoreview. Okay, it is seven sparrows
if you don't want to count Passer domesticus (House sparrow), but
still! I had 3 new birds for my Shoreview park list to bring up to 79
since last July. The sparrows were Chipping, Savannah, Golden-crowned,
White-crowned, Fox, Song, and Lincoln's. There was a second Swainson's
Thrush besides the one on the hillside which has been present for 2
weeks. A total of 54 species in one hour. Sightings this morning
were:
