There has been a lot going on in the LHG in Bellevue this past week. This
morning I saw my first ever COMMON LOON at Phantom Lake, also the first
BELTED KINGFISHER, first BARN SWALLOWS, and first AMERICAN GOLDFINCHES for
the year 1999. Early this week all of the DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS, RUDDY
DUCKS, and BUFFLEHEAD had left both Phantom and Larsen Lakes. There a number
of MALLARDS, a few GADWALL, two RING-NECKED DUCKS, one LESSER SCAUP, and
quite a few AMERICAN COOTS still left.
