If it's endangered or rare - pinpointing its exact location, especially a
nest, with trumpets blaring certainly is against the bird's best interests.
A general location would at least alert the bird to the fact that a
thundering
herd may be heading in its direction - not that I equate camouflaged and
"sneaky" birders with buffalo ...... ;- ) .....

And no, I am not a "professional", not even a practicing "birder", I equate
my own need for privacy with that of other species .....
