Hi Tweeters,
I find it so interesting the different perspective people have on birds
depending on where they live. I live near the Nechako River in Vanderhoof
which is a Migratory Bird Sanctuary. In the spring and fall we have
thousands of migrating Canada Geese come through and visit us for a couple
of weeks. It is a truly amazing time of year and most of the residence can't
help but stop and watch when the huge flocks go overhead. These are not the
tame geese of Vancouver or Seattle that stay in one place all year round and
are a problem. I can understand that people have created habitat in certain
areas that have changed the way some geese act but the wild flocks that
travel through Vanderhoof are truly wonderful.
