Hello,

Several of us (Patrick Sullivan, Greg Toffic, and myself) headed up Mt.
Dickerman on July 18 to look for White-tailed Ptarmigan only to be turned
back by lots of snow and fog just as we were entering Mt. Hemlock type
forest. The only quality birds were White-winged Crossbills flying by and
again heard down at the Big Four parking area near the ice caves. A week
ago I was up at the ice caves again and did not hear any White-winged
Crossbills just the commoner Red Crossbills which have moved into our area
in a big way the first week of June.
