Probably I5 to portland, then 26 over Mt. Hood to Bend, Hwy
20 to Burns, then south.

It's just under 300 miles to Burns, about 65 miles further to
Page Springs.

It's great. Might be buggy even though it's a bit late, due to
the late spring.

Fish Lake up on Steens is nice. You can camp at privately owned
Whorehouse Meadows, primitive casual hunter camps (i.e. a fire
ring and a flat spot).

On weekends, I'd expect "yes". Weekdays, probably not. May depend
on weather, i.e. if it's cold not so many folks will head up to
Fish Lake.
