I will be trying to locate a Red-breasted Sapsucker in the Seattle area
during the Sept. 5th through Sept. 10th period. I am with non birders but
will be able to break away to do some birding. One of your gracious birders
has offered to help me find one of these rascals. He suggested the
carnation swamp/carnation golf course area, and the Snoqualimie river
junction area with Carnation farms road. I also have directions from the
Hunn book to Flaming Geyser and Federation Forest State Park. This book has
a date of 1982 and I am wondering if these areas would still be good
choices.
Can anyone suggest other areas that may be productive?
