Hi Gerald,

Maybe this a bit south of Seattle for you, but I have found Red-breasted
Sapsuckers fairly reliably near the new visitor's center at Nisqually
Wildlife Refuge (South of Tacoma). This is also a great place to take
non-birders for a nature walk.
