Greeting Tweeters;
Yesterday after the Sunday Bird walk in Nanaimo,
Marilynne and I went to have lunch and check around the Nanaimo River
Estuary in South Nanaimo. We saw nine Turkey Vultures soaring high in
the sky, very high. Also a Merlin giving a bunch of Ravens a hard time
and another Merlin flew into a oak tree along the river.
We turned to head back to the car, near the gate and heard a
load noise from above, and low and behold there were three Peregrine
Falcons playing, attacking, and dive bombing each other, making loud
noises all the time, just like the Crows and Ravens do, I have witnessed
the Crows and Ravens playing like this many times. This was the first
time we witnessed the Peregrine playing like that. It was captivating
for sure, they stopped after a bit and continued on their way.
