from the AP article:

" Critics of the Kansas boards action worry it took a step toward
permitting schools to teach creationists view that the earth is only a few
thousand of years old, based on the Bibles account.
Conservative board members said they wanted to make sure that schools
teach sound science, arguing that evolution is a flawed theory that cannot
be proven."

Consistency is all I ask. If evolution shouldn't be taught because it
can't be proved, then neither should creationism which can't be proved.

Therefore, neither should be taught or both should be taught, they're
on equal ground.

Although I like some else's earlier comment, "which religion's creationism
should be taught?"

Even fundamentalist and literalist christians aren't all on the same page.

(PS: i attend a quaker church and have no difficulty reconciling
evolution and the love of God. I'll blame it on my liberal parents and
open-minded education I got in Wisconsin (just a hop north of Kansas))
