Minor clarification: Evolution theory doesn't explain life on earth, but
rather it offers an explanation for the diversity of life on earth.

Also, I don't agree with your stand on starlings, but I then I like Crested
Mynas, a Vancouver exotic and Starling relative (I wonder if Mynas evolved
from Starlings or vice versa?)...
