I did mean the coyote against the cats. Though I did have a friend who
used to live up by Carkeek park, where they claimed there were coyotes.
She had a big Norwegian Forest cat (large cat with thick fur and a very wide,
intimidating face). It was apparently able to stare down the coyotes.
Leastwise
it was the only outdoor cat in the neighborhood that never disappeared.

I would love to know how many coyotes their really are in parks in Seattle. I
know there have been some reported in Discovery, and I read somewhere
that there used to be some in Seward park, but they were removed after too
many cats disappeared. I don't know if the ones at Carkeek are confirmed or
just a neighborhood rumor.

And then of course there is the one that got caught in the Federal Building a
couple of years ago. I guess security just figured it was a tax attorney
dropping
off a late filing at the IRS office ;-)
