>Is there a similar book for Washington or British Columbia?

For Washington, yes. But it's in the form of 3 books (birds, mammals, and
herps). They were the result of the Gap project, as was the Csutis et al.
Oregon book.

The Washington atlases only have information about distribution and
habitat, unlike the Oregon atlas which includes some stuff about gestation,
diet, etc. Each species has a text discussion of distribution, habitat
association, and the model used to make the map, opposite a page-sized map
of the distribution model. The bird atlas is available through Seattle
Audubon's Nature Shop on 35th Ave. NE, the University Book Store on 15th Ave
NE, or Flora and Fauna downtown in Seattle. You can order the mammal
volume from the WA Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, University
of Washington. (Email me an address, and I'll send an order form).
The herp volume is sold out, but we are slowly working on printing 100 more
copies.
The bird volume is $30
The mammals volume is $35
The herp volume (if it's ever available again) is $30

All of the maps from the volumes are on-line (free) at the WDFW web site
http://www.wa.gov/wdfw/wlm/gap/dataprod.htm
The text of the mammal and herp volumes will also be put on the web site
soon. The text of the bird volume will probably be put up when SAS sells
out of them.
