Subject: A curious little Calidrid: the web page

On Sunday 15 Aug 1999, I found a strange little Calidris Sandpiper
among the Least Sandpipers. After examining the video tape and
captures from the video, I strongly suspect that it may be a
LONG-TOED STINT, but I am willing to be talked out of it. Please
note the pigeon-toed look (at one point the bird is standing on its
own toes).

I have put all the video captures on one page (it may take a while
to load) at:

At this moment, Todd Thornton is checking to see if it is still present.

Mike Patterson The common view of science is that it is a sort of machine
Astoria, OR for increasing the race's store of dependable facts.
mpatters at oregonvos.net It is that only in part; in even larger part
it is a machine for upsetting undependable facts.
