I know the whole discussion around the Kansas Evolution decision has been beat
to death on this list, so I will make this brief.

I am very upset by the Kansas decision and would fight like hell to keep
evolution in schools science curriculum and "creationist science" out.

However, I am also upset that the discussion on this list has gotten so nasty
that people felt compelled to leave. This is not good for tweeters and it
is not
good for birds in general. We can agree on our love of birds and their
protection and disagree on evolution and do so with sanity.

There are creationists who believe that each species was created by God and
therefore we must protect the environment and preserve each and every species
God created.

There are also evolution-supporting scientists out there creating
environmental monstrosities like Round-Up(TM) Ready corn

For the sake of the environment and the birds, lets take our allies where we
can.
