Doug Dailey wrote about his problem with a Bumblebee nest. I have had
many memorable experiences with Bumblebees, mostly from my childhood.
You sure don't want to get stung by one I can tell you that!

Probably the most notable experience I remember was one involving my
son. When he was in the Cub Scouts he earned a merit badge having to
do with study of insects. One Saturday, he was busy catching all
manner of bugs and pinning them to a piece of cardboard and labeling
them for a display. I was busy with some project out in the garage at
the time and didn't pay him much attention until he came to me with
his cardboard to show me what he had done. Would you believe! He had
pinned a Bumblebee there! How he managed to do that without getting
stung, I will never figure out.
