Hi, Tweets,

On my weekly trip to Yakima Training Center, I saw a whole lot of raptors,
on the trip there and back.
Heading there, we took Canyon Road and saw several bald eagles, an osprey
and what MAY have been peregrines in the rocks, though I will NOT say for
sure that's what they were.
Coming back was almost as good. We took the scenic route back, taking Wenas
Rd out of Yakima into the LT Murray Wildlife area. Again, kestrels
everywhere, a pair of sharpshinneds, a harrier, and wonder of wonders, a pair
of Ferruginous hawks sitting on power poles just south of Wenas Lake. The
female took flight almost immediately when we stopped the car, but the male
looked at us with curiousity. He was still sitting there when we left.
We also saw a lot of neato birds on the Training Center..horned larks, a pair
of sage grouse, ravens, California quail and a red tailed hawk soaring along
Coal Creek road.
All in all not a bad day's birding, and all on company time!
