Hello Tweeters,
This got back yesterday from a 4 day trip to Pend-Oreille and Stevens
Co.This is an alert to all Birders to watch for Bohemian Waxwings.As i
stayed on Meadow Lake 20 miles North of Colville on wednesday i saw 5
larger birds with one smaler bird.With out my binoculars there looked like
Robins, but din't sound like Robins.So after looking in my Bins i saw the
top crown so there where Waxwings. Pesuming there where Cedar, i had them
on Frater Lake the day before.Looking closer i saw the white wingpatch at
the base of the lower primaries.Looking at the smaler bird, it din't had
this patch and it was a Cedar Waxwing. In all my birding experience i never
saw Bohemian and Ceder together,so it was easy to identify this birds. I
wished i had my scope with me, but this was a trip to find rare sightings
of Dragonflies.I did try to take photos, but the lighting was so bad , all
what i can see is black birds, no details, also the birds was to high
against the sky. A more detailed message will follow.Onother adventure
