On Fri., Aug. 20th about l0 miles south of Kettle Falls on Hwy. 25 my
husband and I saw a flock of 26 turkeys. They were crossing an open field,
where humans were installing p.v.c pipe. Must have been to the river for a
drink. We stoppped and watched as they all safely crossed the highway and
went up the brushy bank. They were my husband's first turkeys, and it was
his birthday. (See Delorme p. l03, 7A -- Chalkgrade Flat) Biggest group
I'd ever seen. Meredith Spencer
