Dear William and Tweets,

Don Baccus has been recently excluded from posting to Tweeters. This was
not an easy decision as he has been a long time contributor. However, an
atmosphere of confrontation and acrimony is threatening our list. I've
had written privately to him a couple of times requesting some behavior
changes, finally warning of possible exclusion. The result is now in
place.

Tweeters lack of discipline can also be directly attributed to me. From
the beginning I have let the list self-discipline itself, but because of
the anonymous nature of the email format some people get carried away.
Something must be done to straighten things out. I'm attempting to write
up some clearer posting guidelines.

The list is now some 800 strong. Hopefully we'll turn the corner and
improve the list as we do it.
