Amen, Dennis. The problem is not "topics;" the problem is "civility."
Tweeters posts have gone off-topic or onto controversial topics in the
past, without anyone taking offense, other than to say, let's get back to
birds, more or less. Cats, puns, limericks, shade grown coffee,
dragonflys, bats, etc. are all relevant. But, however passionate we may
be about a topic there is no excuse for personal invective. Take your
argument outside, if you have to vent. I see "internet rage" as akin to
"road rage." It's time to grow up and take some responsibility for your
thought processes before they're exposed to public view.
