Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
recording was made Thursday August 26. If you have anything to add call

The August 21 offshore boat trip out of Depoe Bay found all 3 jaegers, a
SKUA, COMMON and ARCTIC TERNS, SABINE'S GULLS, RED-NECKED and RED
PHALAROPES, 1103 FULMARS, and 30 BULLER'S SHEARWATERS.

A POMARINE JAEGER was off Brookings August 19. A probable LEAST
FLYCATCHER was netted and banded, and a Sea Otter was offshore at Cape
Blanco August 25. A PECTORAL SANDPIPER was at Euchre Creek, south of Gold
Beach August 24. Good numbers of shorebirds were at Bandon August 21,
with a PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER and 5 MARBLED GODWITS. A probable AMERICAN
GOLDEN-PLOVER was at the North Spit of Coos Bay August 23. An ANCIENT
MURRELET was off Cape Arago August 19.

A FRANKLIN'S GULL, a SABINE'S GULL, 2 ANCIENT MURRELETS, 2 FULMARS, a
POMARINE JAEGER, and over 500 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES were off Boiler Bay
August 22. Two AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVERS and a MERLIN were at Lincoln City
August 25. A LONG-TAILED JAEGER was inside Tillamook Bay August 17.

A flock of 12 BLACK SWIFTS were over Cannon Beach August 24. A STILT
SANDPIPER was at the mouth of the Necanicum River at Gearhart August 23.
A PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER was on Clatsop Beach that day. A PARASITIC JAEGER
was off Ecola State Park August 25. An AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER and a
MERLIN were at the South Jetty of the Columbia River that day.

A probable BOHEMIAN WAXWING was reported August 20 from Grand Ronde in
Yamhill County. Five WILSON'S PHALAROPES were at the Philomath Sewage
Ponds August 20. Two BREWER'S SPARROWS were found in a sparrow flock at
Fern Ridge Res. August 23.

A STILT SANDPIPER was at the Prineville Sewage Ponds August 22. A
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was at Malheur NWR Headquarters August 21. A
female BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRD was with a movement of RUFOUS
HUMMINGBIRDS on Steens Mountain August 22. A FLAMMULATED OWL, a PYGMY
OWL, and a THREE-TOED WOODPECKER were seen near Fish Lake that day.
