Boy, that was fast. Thanks, Bill. Though I described the bird as "large" it
would have been better to have used "heron sized". My mystery bird seems
to be one of the escaped European White Storks that has been sighted
recently. I really should have recognized it- one of my internet
bookmarks is a live camera of a nesting pair in Sweden....
