WE don't . We have to let nature take its course.

We upset it, now we have to let the chips fall where they may, whether we
like it or not.

I don't want to see Great Blue Herons die out, but then neither do I think
that "controlling" Bald Eagle numbers will help the matter. As someone else
on Tweeters said, it's ultimately more and more human beings and less and
less habitat for the wildlife that is the problem. That's what we have to
control, and as you probably know, that's impossible, too. THe minute you
stand up and say "enough, no more development, no more people moving in, no
more logging, no more building, no more etc etc etc" you get into a hailstorm
of controversy. Ultimately the bulldozer and the deep pocketed "developer"
wins out, every single time.
