Hi Tweets,

On Friday, 8/27, at 4:30 pm, I saw a Hudsonian Godwit on the mudflats at the
Ocean Shores Game Range. The bird (I believe it was an
alternate/transistional plumaged male) flew northwest towards the outer
beach around 4:40 pm. I could not relocate it on the outer beach, but only
searched for about half an hour. Other birds around, included three fly-by
golden plover sp., single Baird's and Semipalmated Sandpipers at Damon
Point, and a Long-billed Curlew at Bill's Spit. Also, a beautiful,
alternate plumaged Red-throated Loon was just off the beach on the bay side
at Damon Point.

On Saturday's Westport Pelagic, we had a total of about 30 species
(including inshore stuff). Highlights included at least four South Polar
Skua (one obligingly sitting on the water by the boat for some minutes), one
Flesh-footed Shearwater, and numbers of all three jeager species. I'll post
the complete results (species and numbers) when compiled.
