Birding is getting more interesting in the LHG in Bellevue. One female Hooded
Merganser showed up last week and this morning there were five, all female.
Three American Coot appeared last week and this morning there were six. There
was a female Pileated Woodpecker at the Phantom L. access, and a female
Belted Kingfisher at the wetlands pond. Also, had about 20 Bushtits. One
female Common Yellowthroat is still in the Larsen L. area. There were only
five European Starling in the control cage at the Larsen L. blueberry farm.
An added bonus today was a Western Tanager in our yard.
