I am a graduate student at the University of Idaho, studying songbird use
of Russian olive and Willow riparian areas in the mid-Columbia River basin
during fall migration. I am always interested in knowing what species
people find in Russian olive. I am especially interested in knowing if
anyone sees birds feeding on the "olives", and if so, what species. I am
also curious to know what types of birds people have observed nesting in
the Russian olive, and any thoughts about birds and Russian olive in
general. Anyone with information can reply to me personally. Thanks!
