Given the current logarithmic slope of computer tech change, it is only a
matter of time before all bird data is properly GIS-ed and we can extract the
data we would like to see. There we are out in the woods with our Model 10 Zeiss
Interactive 8x40s with their 10 Terabytes of storage and the active voicemail
satlink back to the home database (or Don B.'s for that matter). Scoping a lake
for ducks and entering them into your database would just be a matter of talking
into the activated onboard binocular microphone and describing what you see.
