Somewhat unrelated, but...it's ugly outside, and I have time on my hands.
Just a little while ago, my husband put "Bridge over the River Kwai" into the
VCR. It's a movie set in Burma. In the opening credits, the sounds of a
Common Loon and what sounds like a Willow Ptarmigan can be heard.
Now either these birds were very, very lost, or........could it possible
be.......that Hollywood screwed up?? Nahhhhhhhh

And.....in "Dances with Wolves"......there's a scene where Kevin Costner is
looking over the plains of South Dakota. Not a tree to be seen........but in
the background you can hear (just once)..a scolding chickadee.
Maybe it's the rare Burrowing Chickadee???
