Hi Tweets!
Today I did the Greenlake walk with some of my Mountaineers friends. At
East Greenlake we spied a group of people with spotting scopes pointing to
something in a nearby tree. In the bare tree was a young PEREGRINE FALCON
posing beautifully for all of us! Also at East Greenlake was a pair of
beautiful, large MALLARD HYBRIDS.....both ducks had dark iridescent green
heads and glossy black bodies. A small flock of AMERICAN and EURASIAN
WIGEONS and a few CORMORANTS were spied. One of the Woodland Park BALD
EAGLES was also spied fishing the lake. Also spied at the Urban Bakery was
a very rare bird, former Washington State governor Mike Lowery laughing and
enjoying a lively conversation with a couple of friends.
