I was sitting in my library at home this afternoon, requesting grad school
applications online, when I was distracted by a whistling noise outside my
window. It turned out to be only a band of Bushtits, six or seven of them,
looking cold and puffy, foraging in our bigleaf maple tree, but they really
made my day. I love Bushtits. How can something so cute and tiny be so
hardy that they choose to stick around for our dreary Cascadian winters?
