Today Mike Donahue and I birded from Edmonds to Port Angeles and back
again. The highlight of the day was a winter adult Franklin's Gull at
the Olympic Game Farm north of Sequim. The bird was resting in the
fenced area where the elk reside. The other highlight of the trip was a
pod of Orcas from the Kingston- Edmonds ferry at 4:00pm. The whales were
spread across the sound and could probably be seen from the Edmonds
fishing pier. Nice way to end a blue-sky day in western WA!

Good birding, Alan
