About 2:45 this afternoon there was an immature Peregrine Falcon atop a a
dead tree at the end of the westernmost boardwalk at Juanita Bay Park. It
stayed around for some time, once taking a jaunt of a hundred yards or so
across the bay to the northeast, but returning to the treetop in a few
minutes. A very accommodating bird, turning this way and that to give all
viewers a good look at his brown back and heavily streaked underparts, as
well as his elegant face markings.

Also on hand were a pair of Bald Eagles, landing together in the tall firs
along the west shore of the park, speaking loudly and clearly to each other,
and then flying off to the west over the lake.
