On 12/5 at about 12:30 p.m. there were two flickers feeding on the ground
just off the eastern part of the loop trail. One had a red eyebrow as well
as a black moustache. When this one flew, it displayed yellow tail
coloration. The other had the same facial marking, expect both marks were
red. Both had tan color around the eyes. Both had red crescents on the
nape. Got a good look through a scope from no more than 50 feet.
There also was a pair of wood ducks swimming around in very plain view on
the slough leading into the lake just off the southeastern part of the loop.
