Hello Tweeters<
While sitting this morning since 7;50AM watching my Anna's Hummingbird
feeding and perching all day,i even put a second feeder out because i usual
see only one Hummingbird at a time feeding. I saw a Hummingbird on this new
feeder, but i could not tell what sex it was. While i was sitting watching
my Patio all kinds of birds start feeding on the ground as Dark-eyed Juncos
and a Bewick's Wren trying to pick up the fallen seeds from the
birdfeeders. I used to have a live tree sitting on the patio, and around
Christmaas i deorated this little tree. All of sudden i missed this tree and
i remember having our first three Townsend's Warbler in this tree and our
Bewicks Wren came all the time. He loved this tree so much,i always kept
unsalted peanut's on the soil and he would scratch in the dirt and calling
loudley.
I got up went to the Nursery and bought a 42 inches Noble Fir with a
container and some putting soil and we planted this little tree today. It
stays on a cart with wheels for moving it around. The Bewick's wren already
used this little tree also the Chestnut and Black -capped Chickadee.
Tomorrow i will decorate this little tree with bright red ribbon what is
close to the Hummingbirdfeeder. I am going to be enjoy my patio in the
winter what will attract so many birds so close. I can imagine if it snows
how all the birds try to come to the patio and can hide in this tree in
case an intruder supposed to interrupt there feeding. This little
Christmastree is a gift to myself and also good for the birds. I intended
to buy a Teddy Bear what was on my mind for weeks, but it all changed this
morning when i saw all this birds walking around on this empty patio. We had
our first male Purple Finch for this year also.
