Hi All

I had an interesting trip home on the train the other day. As well as
the usual Bald Eagles along the south side of the Fraser River I saw a
Spotted Sandpiper as we were passing over the Vedder River and Peregrine
Falcon leaving one of the Hydro towers beside Mission rail bridge.

Just to keep things honest here, these IDs were not 100% so an alt. for
the Spotted Sp could be American Dipper (sure didn't fly like it though
and too far away from swift flowing water). The alt. for the Peregrine
would of course be a Gyr Falcon (size wise female Peregrine or male Gyr.
A very dark bird.)

I also saw a Mourning Dove along the tracks in Coquitlam. There are not
very many around this year. If the weather stays mild they will hang out
at certain locations along the tracks all Winter. I passed by the same
location twice since and not seen the the bird.

Good birding
