update.

Featured birds are PALM WARBLER, CATTLE EGRET, and COMMON YELLOWTHROAT.

Sightings for Saturday, December 11

No Redpolls were reported today but birders did have success in the
MacDonald Beach area with a PALM WARBLER found along the dike west of
MacDonald Rd. at the intersection of a dirt road running south. In the
Cora Brown area was a COMMON YELLOWTHROAT found north of Grauer Rd.

A CATTLE EGRET was seen with sheep in a field SW of the intersection of
Tamboline & Westham Is. Rd. The bird is best seen from Tamboline Rd. Not
far away was the PRAIRIE FALCON at the foot of 34th St. in Delta.

Two ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS are coming to a feeder in the Eagle Harbour area of
West Vancouver.

Friday, December 10

Two PEREGRINE FALCONS were reported from 2 different locations, 1 from the
Patullo Bridge and the other near the intersection of Royal Oak & the
Kingsway.

No sightings for Thursday, December 9

Wednesday, December 8

A MERLIN was seen near the intersection of Scott Rd. & #10 Hwy.

Tuesday, December 7

A single CATTLE EGRET was seen at Tamboline and Westham Isl. Rd.

From Colony Farm came the report of a MERLIN and a NORTHERN SHRIKE.

Monday, December 6

A flock of 30 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen in the Cora Brown area of Sea
Island north of Grauer Rd.

Five SHORT-EARED OWLS were observed at Brunswick Point. There were 48
BLACK TURNSTONE at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal.

Half way along Savage Rd. on Westham Island was a GREATER WHITE-FRONTED
GOOSE with a flock of swans.

Sunday, December 5

A total of 12 COMMON REDPOLLS were tallied in the Cora Brown area of Sea
Island. Late ORANGE-CROWNED and WILSON'S WARBLERS, and a BARN OWL were
also sighted.

Single BLACK OYSTERCATCHER'S were reported from Stanley Park's 2nd Beach
and the Tsawwassen Ferry Jetty.

Pitt Meadows was the location for a HARRIS'S SPARROW, a SNOW BUNTING, a
NORTHERN SHRIKE, and 2 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS.

Saturday, December 4

A single COMMON REDPOLL was spotted along Sea Islands MacDonald Rd. Two
GREAT HORNED OWLS were also seen in this area. From the Cora Brown Area
came the report of a WILSON'S WARBLER.

At Reifel were an AMERICAN TREE SPARROW and a NORTHERN SHRIKE. Also seen
on a different part of Westham Island were a blue phase SNOW GOOSE, and a
MERLIN.

Brunswick Point reported in with 2 SHORT-EARED OWLS and a NORTHERN SHRIKE..
