I've got a few suggestions for birders making inquires about e. Washington.
The Moses Lake Snowy Owl location is well described on the N ID / E WA / NE
OR RBA transcript in a previous post (and Randy Hill's recent note). Common
Redpoll flocks were being seen west of Spokane in the Reardan area. Maybe
some Spokane area birders have more current information. I haven't heard of
any Snow Buntings or longspurs recently and don't know of any good places
to even try although I think Snow Buntings have also been seen around
Reardan in past years. How about the Waterville Plateau for those 2
species? Not much else to report and from n. Idaho, other than Common
Redpolls, we don't even have many finches to speak of around. Red Crosbills
and Evening Grosbeaks have been pretty scarce since earlier in the summer.
