Hi Tweets -

Just got back from a long day over the mountains, mostly looking for the
Snowy Owl in Moses Lake. We hoped to find it early and go on to
searching for other good birds. Unfortunately we spent a good part of
the morning and then later the afternoon searching the area along L NE
with negative results. Overcast, but windy and everything was elswhere.
A couple of Northern Harriers and American Kestrels, but not much else.

In between we made a quick run through the Lower Columbia Basin NWR, had
some ducks (Mallards, Gadwall, Northern Pintail) and excellent looks at
an adult Northern Shrike near the Marsh Loop trail.

Hope that those of you going over tomorrow have better fortune.
