Tweets,
An anna's hummingbird stopped by my feeder station on the apartment patio
just now, a female. This is significant because I have never had an Anna's
visit the feeder after mid October. I know they are quite abundant in areas
close to where I live, but usually stay closer to the sound than in the
heavily urban area of north seattle where I am. I put out some goodies for it
and maybe she will stick around. I've been keeping tallies of the hummer
visits, since I don't get that many and oddly enough with this visit this
morning the tally is: Anna's:7 Rufous:4. This is over a total of 3.5 years of
observation. Needless to say its really nice to be graced by a hummer visit
here.
