Last Sunday when the SAS FT that I led had the Snowy, it was sitting right
next to one of the wheel motors, the interesting point is that while it was
very easy for me to spot driving south on the road, when we stopped it took
me a minute to refind the owl. So the message here is that its position can
dictate where it can be seen. Randy HIll posted a while back that the owl
probably could be seen easier towards dusk. This is typical Snowy behavior,
just as is Short-eared, a dawn/dusk hunter.
