Hello Tweeters,
I did a little research on sightings of ROUFUS HUMMINGBIRDS in winter.
Taken records from 1985 to 1997 taken from the CBC Amercan Birds
Christmas-Birdcounts There is ONE RECORD on a ROUFUS HUMMINGBIRD in 1991
on the San-Juan Island count. So it is quite rare to get ROUFUS showing up
in the winter. There been the most amount of Anna's Hummingbirds counted on
the Seattle Christmas Birdcount as in 1988 32 ANNA'S and Tacoma with 11
that year, together in the Washington State for that year 43 Anna's
Hummingbirds
Wenatchee had there first record in 1988 of a Anna's and in 1990 there
increased to 4 birds
In1995 there where only 23 Co.in Wahington who had Christmas-Birdcounts
and by 1997 increased to 35 Countys.
It would be verry nice of this person who have the ROUFUS HUMMINGBIRD on
there feeder in Federal to get in touch with the Auburn Kent Compiler to
get this Bird for the 1999 CBC .
