At 10:00 am this morning there were 4 RAVENS in very "playful" flight over
downtown Bellevue. I had a look at them from less than 50 feet as they dove
and wove past my 6 floor windows in Bellevue Place (NE 8th and Bellevue
Way). Size, flight behavior and tail shape were right, but I went outside
to confirm vocalizations - definitely ravens with nice "croaks" and even a
rattle when 2 of them landed on the Hyatt. For a minute I thought I might
have been in Vancouver or Anchorage...;-) Great birds for Bellevue,
especially 4 at once.
