Hi all

I went by Harrison Bay (east end of the Fraser Valley) yesterday and
there was 60+ Bald Eagles with at least 30 down on the beach at west
side of the bay. Still not as many as I have seen in the past but the
numbers seem to be increasing.

I also had one of my best views of a flying squirrel 2 nights ago. It
glided (glid/glode) across the tracks about 200' in front of the engine.
It has taken me quite a while, over the years, to figure out just what
these strange falling objects were but after seeing 4 or 5 it finally
twigged. Their glide path is very different from that which a bird would
use to get from point A to point B. It is also a bit more purposeful
than a wind blown maple leaf. In the headlights just about everything is
the same color so it makes it hard to ID some critters at night.

Good birding.
