Hi Tweets,
Well I left for Oregon this morning at about a quarter till 5. Didn't start seeing any birds until I got over the pass at Mount Hood. It sure was raining hard in Portland! The pass was bare and very wet and rainy the whole way over, which was good because I didn't even want to mess with snow driving or tire chains. Well I didn't see that many species before arriving at my Grandparents place in Bend. The birding in Bend at the Deschutes river was pretty dead. Here's what I saw:
